Created at the end of 2004 and housed within the Espace Cultural Ample, the foundation has fixed itself for mission to organize cultural and recreational events on the topic of the Chinese contemporary art and culture.

The foundation will develop in 2005 programs of cultural exchanges between China and Spain and will open in november 2004, in collaboration with Loft Barcelona, Paris and Hong Kong a creative and alternative space in which will be in particular installed workshops for visiting artists.

Its first operation was in collaboration with Casa Asia and the new gallery Loft Barcelona the organization of the inaugural evening of the 3 rd Festival Asia of Barcelona on the plaza de la Merce in which took part more than 1000 people of all horizons.

Beeing a private foundation, any person, company or institution of the Catalane, Spanish or international community and is encouraged to sponsor the activities of the Foundation for the development of the Chinese contemporary art.
