LOFT Galery>Overview
Linked with gallery LOFT in Paris, 5 rue des beaux arts, and housed within the Espace Cultural Ample, n° 5 of carrer Ample, at the bottom of the barrio Gothic, the gallery was centered at its opening in October 2003 towards painting, sculpture and Chinese photography, from the events of Tien Amen to our days, in resolutely privileging contemporary art in all its forms, with its precepts avant-gardists, by presenting figurative and realistic creations, filled with strength and humour, sometimes caustics, and perfect techniques; LOFT Barcelona opened itself to a large Catalan, Spanish and international public for which it is often the first encounter with Chinese contemporary art which knew a real explosion these ten last years.
LOFT Barcelona organizes each year five to six exhibits in the gallery and proposes since 2005 to organise with institutional partners retrospectives exhibits, systematically applying its major selection criterias : simplicity, emotivity and passion,the role of a gallery being to arrange a space of travel and encounter.
